Miss Hanson: Hi! I'm an elementary and middle years visual arts teacher. My own background is in painting, printmaking and mixed media. Before going into education I completed my BFA at the University of Saskatchewan. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to help guide students through the creative process of expressing themselves in the visual arts. I teach students in grade one through eight and get to work with each class once a week. Through small technical exercises and larger conceptual projects the students are challenged to express their ideas, develop the skills to compose interesting works and to explore the effects of using different mediums to create a piece of art. This blog is a record of some of the projects that we have done throughout the year. I hope you enjoy the work as much as we enjoyed creating it!
